What is Music?
Music is a language that communicates the joy and hope of Christian life! We encourage you to share your musical ability, no matter how great or small, so that when combined with your spiritual commitment, music can be come a powerful experience in worship at Sacred Heart Church. Prayerfully consider where you and your family might become involved; and join us. If you are unsure, please come and try it for a few weeks and see if God is calling you to serve. |

Music Ministry Opportunities:
Traditional Choir:
This choir sings at 11am mass on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. Warmups begin at 10:30am. This choir occasionally sings at the 5pm Saturday vigil mass and at other events. Rehearsals take place Wednesday nights from 7pm - 8:30pm.
Folk Choir:
This choir sings at 11am mass on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. Warmups begin at 9:30am. This choir occasionally sings at the 5pm Saturday vigil mass and at other events. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday nights from 7pm-9pm
8:30 Choir:
This choir sings at the 8:30am Sunday mass 3-4 times per month. This choir rehearses and warms-up on Sunday at 8am, just before the mass.
Resurrection Choir
This choir provides music for funeral liturgies. Practice occurs an hour before the funeral mass.
Youth Choirs: Ages 5 and Up
This choir sings at special events throughout the year. They sing at the 5pm Christmas Eve mass, at First Communion, and at other announced events. Rehearsals will be announced by the Director of Music.
Open Choir/Summer Choir:
This choir provides music during the summer months at the 11am mass. Rehearsals begin at 9:45am on Sunday in the Choir Room of the parish hall. A continental breakfast is provided.
Cantor/Accompanist/Instrumentalist
To make our liturgies even more beautiful, we look to enlist the talent of anyone who can play an instrument, or wishes to cantor. If you are willing to devote your skills, time, and talent, then please contact our Director of Music.
